Here you can find out everything about eMTBs and Uphill Flow and have the opportunity to talk to Stefan Schlie about eBike or VAUDE topics after the event. The aim is to show you how to overcome easy obstacles with the eMTB and give tips on possibilities, riding technique and technology. The concepts of pedal management and flow are certainly in the background here.

Stefan was a multiple North German Champion, German Champion, Vice World Champion and World Team Champion in bike trials. He used this expertise for countless bike shows, but in particular to go down in eMTB history as a pioneer. He is also the first person to ride down the Zugspitze.

The plan was ambitious: two siblings, with no experience in ultra-cycling, are handed the gravel track from Munich to Milan. Add to that a three-year-old child on the top tube and one week of time – can this unusual family vacation succeed? Can it even be fun? What would it mean to fail? And how do you deal with the needs of three very different people without frustration setting in?

In August 2025, Simon from the 8bar community, his daughter Toni, and his sister Naomi took on the challenge, finding answers to these questions during their planned crossing of the Alps.

That was the idea. They got as far as Morocco. "At some point, it was no longer about the destination, but about what was still carrying you. And how much longer we could hold on..."

This is Miki. Bike courier, mechanic and community organizer. Join her as she explores the Munich bike courier community, builds a business and tries to change her city for the better. In doing so, she repeatedly asks the question: How can we shape our lives in a way that corresponds to what is really important to us? This documentary is part of "Technical Terrain", a series about the stories, communities and challenges of FLINTA* bike couriers in different cities, which can be seen in advance this month.

The Eroica Germania will take place for the 9th time in 2026 and has developed into one of the most important cycling culture festivals in Germany, with the number of participants increasing every year. The routes bring to life a topic that has had a decisive influence on the city's history: the industrial development around 1900. The imposing buildings are still visible everywhere today, but their fascinating history is not. The routes show how industrial culture has changed the cityscape as well as the life and work of the population. 3,700 m² of bumpy and slippery cobblestones - Hufelandstraße used to be a challenge for cyclists. Despite the historic building fabric, the road was hardly inviting for cycling, with many people taking to the sidewalk. Now that the cobblestones have been removed, the 600-metre-long road has a comfortable cycle connection. The infraVelo project team provides insights into the innovative grinding process and presents the initial results of the ongoing accompanying study. The project shows how the mobility transition can be advanced in Berlin.

We will be broadcasting the "Queen of the Classics" live at VELOBerlin together with our partner discovery+. For the first time, both the women (Paris-Roubaix Femmes) and the men will be pedaling on April 12. As every year, these will be two of the most exciting races of the season - spectacle guaranteed!

The bicycle is the key to a good city for everyone - but Berlin's transport policy is stuck. The ADFC catalog of demands #NeustartFürsRad shows how Berlin can be transformed into a healthy, fair and sustainable city for everyone by promoting cycling over the next five years. What does Berlin need - and what can you do yourself in the districts? A panel of the ADFC Berlin between vision, political demands and practical commitment.

The Young ADFC Berlin is committed to youth-friendly transport policy and connects young cycling enthusiasts. As a group of people between the ages of 16 and 26, we meet regularly, exchange ideas and implement them together. Our common goal is a change in transportation policy, because a car-friendly city is not a youth-friendly city. Introducing the Young ADFC Berlin - come along and get to know our work!

Michael Cramer is a former EU politician, was Chairman of the Committee on Transport and Tourism, was awarded the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany and has always been an enthusiastic cyclist. At the intersection of his interests, he initiated two projects that could not have made Europe easier to understand or "experience": the famous Berlin Wall Cycle Route and the Iron Curtain Trail along the border between the two systems. At VELOBerlin, he will be reporting on the new features of the Berlin Wall Cycle Path.

Since 1982, the Race Across America (RAAM) has been considered one of the toughest challenges in ultra-cycling. The race covers around 4,800 kilometers across the USA - from the west coast to the east coast. Extreme heat, icy cold, sleep deprivation and more than 52,000 meters of altitude demand everything from the riders. Only around 25 solo athletes start each year - many do not reach the finish within the 12-day time limit.

Claus-Henning Schulke from Berlin is one of the few athletes in the world to take on this extreme challenge. Filmmaker Alex Hüfner accompanied him and his team on the RAAM 2024. The film shows the relentless competition against time, exhaustion and his own limits - a race that demands everything. Schulke wants to take on this challenge for the third time in 2026.

Followed by a discussion with ultra-cyclist Claus-Henning Schulke and filmmaker Alex Hüfner. The film will be shown in German with English subtitles.

RAAM will be shown as one of several films as part of VELOKino on 11.04.2026 from 6-8 pm in the Berlin Bike Gallery.

Salber Lee Williams is an artist, poet and founder of This Is Joy Bro. Through spoken word, film and community building, she explores joy not as an escape from reality, but as a means of resistance and understanding that we are so deeply connected to everything. In this performance, accompanied by an audiovisual installation, she captures the experience of cycling through Berlin. The rhythm and the unexpected (and fleeting) moments when everything just seems to fall into place. A meditation on movement and presence and what it means to be fully alive on a bicycle.

Modern special bikes for senior citizens and people with mobility impairments have made their way out of the "rollator corner" and into our everyday mobility. As a transportation transition agency, cargobike.jetzt accompanies and supports this transition in a mediating role between end users, interest groups (advisory boards, social institutions, ...), municipalities and special bike manufacturers and dealers. Since Annemiek van Vleuten burst onto the scene 14 years ago, women's cycling has changed forever. Annemiek's palmarès makes her one of the best athletes of her generation. After signing with Movistar and switching to Canyon bikes in 2021, she made history by winning the Tour de France Femmes, the Giro Donne and the Vuelta Femenina, as well as the time trial at the Olympic Games and the Road World Championships. Together with Canyon, we are bringing Annemiek to Berlin!

Sonja has actually always been cycling - she used to simply cycle from A to B: to school, to ride, to work. It only became sporty in 2023/24 when she had to give up jogging due to osteoarthritis. A colleague introduced Sonja to the Mecklenburger Seerunde 300 - since then, it's hard to imagine life without racing bikes and gravel. After many accidents in city traffic and a serious truck accident in 2006, safety is a key issue for the presenter and podcaster. Today, cycling is sport, processing and the center of her life - even after the tragic road death of her father in 2025.

Diagnosed with high blood pressure in my early 60s - and a passionate racing cyclist at that. Do you now have to pedal more slowly or even stop? Heiko Mehnert tells us personally how he changed his training, intensity and posture to keep cycling healthy. A short experience report about pulse, ego and the good news: cycling can be one of the best decisions you can make, especially as you get older.

We seek our adventures outdoors. In forests, mountains and wild landscapes. But it is precisely these places that are under more pressure today than ever before. In this short talk, ORBIT360 and The Generation Forest show why the outdoor and cycling scene has a special responsibility not only to use nature, but also to actively protect it.

We talk about the reality of climate change, deforestation and species extinction and why traditional solutions are often not enough. We then present The Generation Forest, a community-based model for regenerative forests that protects biodiversity, binds CO₂ and creates long-term prospects for people and nature.

The central question is: How can a community that loves nature also become part of its restoration?

In the period from 11.04. until 12.04.2026 takes place on the VELOBerlin again the popular Fat snail race will take place. The BIKE Film Tour presents: Düsseldorf bike courier Albert Rabaev gives insights into his everyday work, the courier scene and the feeling of life between time pressure and freedom. With a 7-minute film screening followed by a discussion.

What is a wheel race?
A balance bike race is a child-friendly race on two wheels - without any pedals. The kids push themselves off the ground with their feet and race along a closed-off track. It's not just about speed, but above all about fun, exercise and the first feeling of racing on two wheels. Ideal for little explorers aged 2 to 5!

For the 8bar LAST ONE STANDING on Saturday, we have designed a 450m course that is both intense and technical. Tight corners combined with fast straights keep the pressure high from the first lap to the last rider. It's not just about power, but also about bike handling and race strategy.

On Sunday we bring back our legendary 8bar CRIT. The race will be split into a Party Race and a Fast Race. Both races will last 25 minutes plus an additional 10 laps. Lapped riders will be taken out of the race.

The track is velodrome-shaped and 300 m long - fast, direct and built for pure speed.
