Small moments of happiness on two (or more) wheels – 5 things I wish I had known sooner & 5 things that need to change: Cycling with a child can be more than just necessary transportation for daily life – it can be the entry into shared adventures. In this short talk, I'll share practical tips, hard-won learnings, and a critical look at what's to come and what cycling families really need. I'll offer practical insights from the first balance bike to weekend tours with a trailer. For everyone who thinks about family and cycling together and wants to advocate for the sporty mobility of the future.

Ultra-races, long-distance rides: Sleepless nights, crossing rivers with bikes and gear, hike-and-bike adventures in remote mountain ranges, breakdowns, injuries, but also infinite adventure. We talk with experienced riders about what drives them. What such experiences do to them. What mistakes to avoid. What doubts they had before their first tour. How they train – mentally and physically. What absolutely must be in their luggage. And perhaps a funny anecdote or two.

There are more and more of you: Ultra-events – multi-day cycling tours covering hundreds of kilometers; mostly designed as races. But who is behind them? We're talking to organizers about what motivates them, how they came up with the idea to organize an event, what the legal aspects, bureaucracy, permits, and so on look like. They talk about the hurdles to overcome, what's important in communication and dealing with participants, and share their experiences with each other and with the public.

On April 11th and 12th, 2026, it's that time again and VELOBerlin is taking place at Tempelhof Airport. We're using this opportunity for our Coffee & Cake Ride to go there together. We'll meet at 10:30 AM at the store in Adlershof and depart promptly at 11:00 AM. We'll be taking a leisurely BER loop. This means we won't leave anyone behind and will adapt to the group's pace.
When we arrive at VELOBerlin, a warm cup of coffee is already waiting for us. There is also discounted entry for all those who have taken part.
